About the store
- Are TOYFORGE orders real right now?
- No. TOYFORGE is in demo mode. Every "order" you place lives in your browser on this device. No payment is captured. No piece is printed. No shipment is booked. A visible demo banner will disappear the day real commerce goes live.
- When will real payments be live?
- Phase 2 of the roadmap. We are not promising a date. The signal is simple: the demo banner at the top of the cart and checkout disappears, and the checkout button says 'Pay' instead of 'Place demo order'.
- Do you ship internationally?
- Yes, once Phase 2 lands. Worldwide shipping is planned via DHL Express from ₹1,499, typical delivery 5–9 business days. Customs duties are calculated at checkout where the carrier supports it; otherwise they are billed by the carrier on delivery.
- Can I commission a custom print?
- Yes, even during the demo. Custom commissions are run over WhatsApp and email because they need a short back-and-forth to scope. Visit the /custom/ page, or write to toyforgew@gmail.com with a reference image, approximate size, material preference (PLA or PETG), and your deadline. We reply with a quote within 48 hours.
12 Piece Japanese Burr Puzzle →
- How difficult is the 12-piece Japanese burr puzzle?
- It sits at a medium difficulty — most first-timers solve it in 20–40 minutes. Once you know the sequence, reassembly drops to under 5 minutes. Suitable from age 8 with no adult help needed.
- Is the PLA material safe and durable for regular handling?
- Yes. We print in food-safe PLA, hand-finish every piece, and quality-check for sharp edges before packing. PLA is rigid and holds up to daily puzzle sessions — not a chew toy, but built for real play.
- Can I order it in a different colour?
- We print to order — drop us a message before placing your order and we will confirm which filament colours are available that week. Default ships in natural white PLA.
Planetary Gear Launcher →
- How does the planetary gear mechanism work in this toy?
- A planetary gearbox has three parts — a sun gear at the centre, planet gears that orbit it, and a ring gear on the outside. Pulling the cord spins the ring gear; the planet gears multiply the rotation speed so the propeller or top launches with far more force than a single gear could produce. You can see all the gears moving through the open body.
- How far does the propeller launch and how long does the top spin?
- Under ideal conditions — a clean pull on a flat surface — the propeller reaches 30+ feet and the spinning top runs up to 2 minutes. Real results depend on pull technique and surface; both improve quickly with practice.
- What happens if a part breaks during play?
- Every part is printed on demand in our Indore workshop. If you break a propeller or top, message us with your order number and we will print and dispatch a replacement. PLA is durable for normal play but not indestructible — avoid throwing the body on hard floors.
